Information for the next rehearsals
Monday 21st & Thursday 24th April
There is a rehearsal despite it being Easter Monday!
We are now on to the final stretch of learning new music for our concert with just a few new songs left!
This week we will make a start on
- Mr Blue Sky
- Pink Ladies Medley (music from Grease)
Ticket Sales Updates!
Hello, I don't want to go too heavy on ticket sales. Being a part of our choir doesn't come with a pressure to sell lots of tickets and I don't want anyone thinking they have an obligation to give a hard sell to any of their friends and family.
The beauty of a choir of this size is that if everyone in the choir was to sell 3.5 tickets we would fully sell out Huddersfield Town Hall.
Currently, our ticket sales are at 42% of the capacity
This is lower than previous concerts at this stage.
Why am I telling you this? There are 2 reasons (both probably very obvious).
1. You deserve a full house, the larger the audience the better the atmosphere and the more people who will hear you sing. You deserve a full audience because you sound so incredible!
2. Financially, the concerts cost a lot to put on and whilst we just about break even after all costs, we are heading towards a big rise in costs when we get in to Leeds Town Hall. So I would like to try and few easy things for this concert with a view to seeing what successful strategies we can use for when we get to Leeds Town Hall.
So, what would we like you to do?
Reach out personally to friends and family who wouldn't usually come to our concerts but you think would enjoy them and let them know how great our concert is going to be. Do your work friends know about how amazing your hobby is?
We will make some extra content in rehearsals to share online, if you have any great publicity ideas, please let us know!
Be sure to comment, tag friends, and share all our social media posts about the concert.
I appreciate that there will be unique circumstances for lots of you that makes selling 3-4 tickets per concert a real challenge. This is not a 'you must sell 4 tickets or you are out of the choir' post either so please don't stress if you know this will not be possible.
BUT if everyone in the choir was to now sell and extra 2 tickets each we wouldn't be able to fit everyone in the venue.
So that's your challenge! Can you sell 2 more tickets?
