Do I need to be able to read music?

You do not need to be able to read sheet music to be able to join the choir. We do give every member sheet music and lyrics for each song and we teach from these resources but it is not essential to read sheet music. Throughout your time with us though you will slowly learn to read music within the rehearsals, but the focus of the sessions is having fun and sounding great!

What sort of music do you sing?

Our repertoire consists of everybody's favourite songs from Stage and Screen.

We try and combine the classics, such as, Mary Poppins, Les Mis, Oliver, South Pacific, The Sound of Music with more modern musical theatre such as, 'Dear Evan Hansen', 'Waitress', 'The Bodyguard', 'Hamilton'.

We also explore the music of 'musical movies' such as 'A Star is Born', 'The Greatest Showman', 'Rocket Man', 'Grease' as well as making plenty of room for all the fantastic music from the wonderful 'Disney Movies' throughout the decades.
