Have you ever wanted to perform as part of a touring West End production?

We have been offered the opportunity to perform as part of ‘The Choir of Man’ when it comes to the Alhambra Theatre on Tuesday 23rd June – 7.30pm.

The opportunity was initially offered to our Daytime Choir but we have more spaces available than we do members in the choir so we wanted to extend the opportunity to our amazing Musical Theatre Choir members.

What is it?

The show itself is a musical about a group of men who find comfort in singing in a choir. I’ve seen it in London and it’s amazing!

We have been invited to join the professional cast for the closing number of the show – ‘Chandelier by Sia’. You will watch the show from the best seats in the house, and then at the end of the show be invited to join in with the final number. (There are video’s online of other groups doing this and it looks/sounds incredible!)

What do I need to do for the show?

As the spaces available are limited we will not be dedicating any rehearsal time to this project. You will be required to learn the song ‘Chandelier’ at home using the guide vocals and video provided by the musical director of the show. (Don’t panic, though, it is very simple). You would also be welcome to one of our Daytime Choir rehearsals, where we will be learning the song if you would prefer (not compulsory).

What does it cost?

Tickets for the event are £20. This is discounted from the regular price of £55. This will be need to be paid to Sophie or me in cash at rehearsal by the end of April so I can take the money straight to the theatre. There will also be a sign-up form that must be completed and brought to rehearsal with the money.

How do I sign up?

Spaces are limited so sadly not everyone in the choir would be able to take part in this opportunity. We will be operating a strict ‘first come-first served’ sign up system. In order to make it fair we will be making the sign up form live on the website on Tuesday 31st March at 7pm.

We will let you know if you have been successful in applying during the Easter break.

Important info

I will be paying for all of the tickets upfront so you will need to get the money to us by the deadline (end of April) or we will offer the ticket to the next person on the waiting list.

If you commit to taking part in the event and can no longer attend we will not be able to offer any refunds and you will not be able to sell on your ticket due to the nature of the event.

If you have any family or friends that wish to come and watch the show they will need to purchase tickets directly through the Bradford Theatres website. Please not that they will not be able to sit with you as you will be performing.

I understand that there will be no rehearsal time dedicated to the event during LMTC rehearsals. All learning of material will need to be done by the member at home prior to the event. There will be the opportunity to attend a Daytime Choir rehearsal although this is not compulsory.
